【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesarapid,inexpensivemethodforcomparingthecorrosionresistanceofrefractories.Theisothermalconditionsofthistestmethodrepresentthemostseverestaticcorrosionenvironmentpossibleatthespecifiedtesttemperature.Thistestmethodissuitableforqualitycontrol,researchanddevelopmentapplications,andforproductvaluestudiesonsimilarmaterials.Testsrunataseriesoftemperaturesareoftenhelpfulindeterminingtheusetemperaturelimitationsofaparticularmaterial.Melt-linecorrosionresultsarealsoausefulindicationofrelativeresistancetobothupwardanddownwarddrillingcorrosionmechanisms.Examinationoftestspecimensalsoprovidesinformationaboutthetendencyforaparticularrefractorytoformstonesorotherglassdefects.Becausethistestmethodisbothisothermalandstaticandsincemostglass-contactrefractoriesoperateinadynamicsystemwithathermalgradient,testresultsdonotdirectlypredictserviceinafurnace.Theeffectsofdifferingthermalconductivities,refractorythickness,artificialcoolingorinsulationupontherefractorythermalgradient,andtheerosiveactionofmovingmoltenglasscurrentsarenotevaluatedwiththistest.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthecorrosionresistanceofrefractoriesincontactwithmoltenglassunderstatic,isothermalconditions.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesinparenthesesareprovidedforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandardmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblemsassociatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:Thistestmethodisintendedforuseforevaluatingtheperformanceofthermalinsulatedpackagingusedforhigh-value,high-riskmaterials.Thistestmethodmayalsobeusedforanyproductthatrequiresaccurateinternalpackagetemperaturereadingswhilebeingexposedtoarangeofexternalairtemperatures.Certainitems,suchasbiologicalmaterials,pharmaceuticals,diagnostics,andbloodproducts,mustbeshippedinsidetemperature-controlledpackages.Factorsaffectingtherateofheattransferofthepackageincludetheinsulationoftheexteriorpackage,theenergysource,andtheproductpayload.Becauseofthevarietyoffactorsaffectingtheperformanceofathermallyinsulatedpackage,testingshouldbeconductedwiththeactualpackagewheneverpossible.Whensimulatedpackagesareused,specialcaremustbeexercisedsothatthesimulatedpayloadandcoolantwillbeascloseaspossibletotheactualpackagesintemperatureandotherrelevantphysicalproperties.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthethermalinsulationqualityofapackageandthethermalstabilityofitscontentswhenexposedtovariableambienttemperatureconditions.Itissuitablefortestingpackageswithvariousinternalenergysourceswithorwithoutproductpayloads.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Specificprecautionarystatementsaregivenin5.3.
