【摘要】:1.1Theserequirementscoverfloorproximityandotheregresspathmarkingandlightingsystemsthatprovideavisualdelineationofthepathofegress.Thesesystemsarealsousedtoidentifysignificantegresspathfeaturessuchasdoors,stairbanisters,obstaclesorinformationplacards.1.1.1ThesesystemsareintendedforinstallationanduseasrequiredbybuildingandfiresafetycodessuchastheLifeSafetyCode,NFPA101;theBuildingConstructionandSafetyCode,NFPA5000,andtheInternationalBuildingCodesponsoredbytheInternationalCodeCouncil.1.2Photo-luminescentmarkingsystemsincludematerialssuchassheeting,adhesive-backedlaminates,paintsorinkspre-appliedtoasubstrate.Theyareintendedforinstallationwherethefacilityilluminationissufficienttoactivatethephotoluminescentmaterial.1.3Self-luminoussystemsincludeconstructionsasdefinedin5.10.1.4Externallypoweredlightingsystemsincludevaryingdesignsofelectriclampsthatmaybeintendedforconnectiontoanycombinationofnormalpowersupply,emergencypowersupply,andbatterybackup.1.5Theserequirementsdonotcoversignsthatincludethewords"EXIT","STAIRS","FIREESCAPE",orotherlegallyrequiredlegendsorgraphicalsymbolsthatarewithinthescopeoftheStandardforEmergencyLightingandPowerEquipment,UL924.1.6Theterm"product"asusedintheserequirementsreferstoegresspathmarkingandlightingsystemsoranypartthereofcoveredbytheserequirementsunlessspecificallynotedotherwise.
