【摘要】:ThisBritishStandardspecifiesproceduresforensuringthatservicesareavailableandmadeaccessibletoallconsumersequally,regardlessoftheirpersonalcircumstances.Itisapplicabletoanyorganizationdealingwiththepublic,regardlessoftype,size,sectorandserviceprovided,thoughnotalloftherequirementsarerelevanttoallorganizations[forexample,thesub?clausesonpromotionsandmarketing(5.8)andcontractsandsalesdocumentation(5.10)],whilesomeoftheexamplesprovidedrelatetospecificsectorsorservices.NOTE1Theterm“services”describestheprovisionofanyservicetoconsumers,includingadvice,utilities,goodsandproducts,e.g.financialservices,communications,energy,retail(bothonlineandonthehighstreet)andtrade.Organizationsincludeconsumergroups,debtassistanceorganizations,socialservices,governmentagencies,localauthorities,charities,voluntaryorganizations,legalfirms,marketing(PR)/advertisingprofessionalsandombudsmenservices.NOTE2TherequirementsofthisBritishStandardareadditionaltothoseforcustomerservicegenerally.Forrecommendationsoncustomerservice,seeBS8477.
